But I think I probably AM going to leave. I tried to hold out for a while before making my decision, to see if perhaps there was still hope to find anyone who wasn't completely overrun by the vision of popularity and praise, but to no avail. I have even found somewhere else to dump my art! And I honestly have to admit that I did have a VERY welcoming start. Everybody I've met on there is kind and actually wants to be your friend, not just your pageviews. They also accept you for who you are no matter WHAT your into. That is another thing about dA I don't really like. People are kinda harsh on other people for having opinions about things. There are a few things I was very afraid to share about myself because of how other people here are treated for liking these things. For example, I didn't receive a very welcome vibe after I said I wanted to try drawing anthro art, because most people here think that anything anthro is automatically considered furry porn. Anything that is an animal with human anatomy is an anthro, hell Zephyr's werewolf form has always been anthro, even before I knew what it was. There are also other things that I am into that I KNOW most of you would think less of me for. Like let's say, I dunno... I started reading yaoi or something. In your honest opinion what would you honestly say if I told you I started reading yaoi? Also, y'know something else? ALL of the things I couldn't draw before like humans or anything CUTE, I can actually draw them now! And I started getting better not much longer after I started thinking about leaving. In fact, even though I said that comic page would probably be my last deviation, I think I may upload one of my human pictures before I leave just because I'm so proud of them now.
